The Shade Doctor – Repair & Service Call Guarantee​

At The Shade Doctor, we stand behind the quality of our work and our commitment to fair, reliable service. All window treatment repairs and service calls are covered under the following guarantee:

Repair Guarantee Coverage Period

​​

​

All window treatment repairs performed by The Shade Doctor are fully guaranteed for one (1) year from the original service date.

What Is Covered – Repairs

​​

 

If a blind, shade, or other window treatment repaired by The Shade Doctor fails to operate properly within one year due to:

• Faulty or defective parts

• Internal mechanisms unable to support the weight of the window treatment

• Installation or repair-related issues

• Any other cause not directly resulting from customer use, misuse, or damage

we will repair the issue at no additional charge.

What Is Not  Covered – Repairs

​

This guarantee does not cover:

• Damage to fabric, material, or vanes

• Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, pets, or improper handling

• Any issue caused directly by the customer or end user

• Normal wear and tear unrelated to the repair

Service Call Guarantee (In-Home Repairs)

​

In addition to our repair guarantee, The Shade Doctor provides a one-year Service Call Guarantee for in-home repairs.

• If a window treatment previously repaired by us during an in-home service call fails within one (1) year of that original service call, we will return to the home at no charge, including no additional service call fee, to address the issue.

• If we return to the same home within one year to service a different window treatment that was not previously repaired by The Shade Doctor, the service call fee will be charged at 50% of the original service call rate.

Service Call Guarantee Exclusions

​

The Service Call Guarantee is subject to the same exclusions as the Repair Guarantee, including but not limited to:

• Customer-caused damage

• Fabric or material damage

• Misuse, abuse, or accidents

• Normal wear and tear

• Any condition outside the scope of the original repair

Tampering Clause

​

Any tampering, adjustment, or repair of internal mechanisms by anyone other than The Shade Doctor may void both the Repair Guarantee and the Service Call Guarantee.

Replacement Credit Option

​

If, after an initial repair attempt, there is no viable solution other than remaking the window treatment, The Shade Doctor Doctor may apply the original repair cost as a credit toward the purchase of replacement blinds or shades.
